MEET DAISYFIELD
ESTABLISHED TRADITION, UNWAVERING QUALITY
Since its inception in 1919 by W.C. Routh as the Sandusky Packing Company, J.H. Routh Packing Co. has been a pillar of tradition and quality in the pork industry. Under the leadership of John H. Routh, the company transitioned to its current name in 1942, officially incorporating in 1947. For over a century, the Routh family upheld the legacy, offering customers the renowned Daisyfield brand of fresh, smoked, and processed pork products. And now, in 2024, we’ve expanded our offerings to include Oak & Ember, a new ultra-premium line of heritage pork products.
QUALITY PORK PRODUCTION
In 1961, the company shifted its focus exclusively to pork production, initiating significant expansions to its facility and enabling J.H. Routh Packing to expand its distribution of Daisyfield products beyond Ohio borders.
The success of the Daisyfield brand led to further growth, necessitating the construction of a new state-of-the-art harvest and processing facility in 1971.
Continued Commitment to Quality
In 2020, the company entered a new chapter under the ownership of two esteemed family pork producers, the Holden and Kalmbach families. With a shared dedication to quality, they have continued to modernize and enhance the facility to better serve customers' needs
Today, Daisyfield and J.H. Routh Packing Company remain steadfast in their commitment to providing high-quality fresh, smoked, and processed pork products to customers across the United States and beyond. Rooted in tradition yet embracing innovation, we take pride in delivering products made the old-fashioned way – with care, integrity, and a dedication to excellence.
